Through-hole Assembly
Start with the parts that shape the assembly.
Connectors
Review orientation, mating access and any loads that the final assembly places on the connection.
Useful input: connector drawing and mating arrangement.
Leaded components
Identify insertion, lead-forming and clearance requirements against the board and neighboring parts.
Useful input: component details and assembly notes.
Mechanical support
Agree which parts need mounting or support beyond the electrical connection.
Useful input: fixing details and mechanical constraints.
Set requirements before selecting the process.
How is the joining method agreed?
Review board layout, component requirements and access with the manufacturing team. Do not assume one method is appropriate for every assembly.
What component constraints matter?
Provide any relevant component handling and thermal limits in the project documents. Identify parts that need particular attention.
What defines an acceptable result?
Agree the applicable acceptance references, inspection coverage and handling of observations before the build.
Connect through-hole work to the rest of the build.
Coordinate surface-mount stages, mechanical installation and final functional checks against one assembly revision.
